Our Story
Hello, I'm Valerie. For over 22 years, I've been a dedicated science educator and a proponent of service learning. My path led me to Costa Rica, a place where my professional expertise and personal passion found a harmonious blend.
Since moving to Costa Rica three years ago, I've immersed myself in the local culture and environment. During this time, I've built strong connections with fellow educators, community leaders, local tour operators, and volunteer organizations. These relationships have been instrumental in shaping 'Service Learning Costa Rica' into what it is today.
The idea behind our platform is to offer service learning experiences to people of all ages, set against the backdrop of Costa Rica's vibrant communities and diverse ecosystems.
